Starved Rock State Park, Illinois

This state park is rated as Illinois' #1 state park. It is well deserved. Since Erin and the boys are camping out for the weekend, I opted to come here for two days. It was a great decision as the shade and water kept both Zeke and me cooled.
I didn't get to the park s until 1pm, starting on the east side on the Bluff Trail  from the Ottawa Canyon parking lot walking westward until I hit LaSalle Canyon for a total of 8.7 miles. That was Zeke's limit. It was 80F but the shade kept us cool.

I explored all the canyons until La Salle. I turned around here and went the way I came, but explored Kakasia and Illinois Canyons on my return hike. Each canyon has its own beauty.
