Christmas 2021

This year has pretty much gone the way I feared, but with a few twists. Last year I feared losing Sadie and Kevin and Carol. Instead, I lost Zeke and Kevin today is not in good health. He's too weak to get up to walk. He stays in bed. I get him his chocolate milk or whatever else it is he wants.

I walked Hansel at sunrise. It was a colorful sunrise, with remnant storm clouds from yesterday. It didn't rain today, and the wind wasn't as bad. Colder temperatures will resume tomorrow.
I cancelled Christmas because of his health, staying close by to work on the house.  The dogs all got their Christmas steak for breakfast.

Today I spent most of the early afternoon bagging debris from the dining area. I was never far away from any of the dogs. They all watched me intently.

When Susan called at 1:30 to invite me over, I cancelled that as well because I wanted to get some work done and give the dogs some company. I didn't want to head over to her place with a few select dogs but have to leave by 4:30 so she could get ready for her family's Zoom time.  I'd rather visit when there are no limitations.

By mid afternoon Kevin's friend David came by to drop off two ham meals. Kevin nibbled on his for a few bites but left the rest. His declining health worries me, but he does not want to see a doctor.
