I definitely live out in the boonies now.
I took Gretel on an exploratory walk at 6:30am, heading west on Barataria to its end at a NFS gate. "NO TARGET SHOOTING" it said, but nothing about no trespassing. We both went under the wire to squeeze through, following the dirt road. I was curious where this would go, as there is a wash farther west, according to my tracker, and nothing but green foliage. I noticed a defined wash heading west, but I'll explore that another time.
I didn't make it much farther as I hit private property going either north or south. I came across an older RV, well-hidden from view. People here in this part of town like to live off the grid, and I've seen some rather hidden homes in the past two weeks.
We continued our walk going north on Burro Road, a narrow dirt road. At the corner of Burro and La Canada is a pond that I never knew was here. All my water-loving pets would love this! Gretel went in to cool off and we continued our loop back home. This was a 3.8-mile wal
