Tony reported some severe weather in his Kansas town. The good news is that this system will be in the East when I get through here.

Thunderstorms continue from the southern Plains to Illinois.
Large hail and some damaging wind gusts have been reported from the Nebraska/Kansas border into Missouri. More strong storms are pounding parts of western Illinois.
Look for more strong to severe thunderstorms in these areas through the evening. Some storms will be capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and even tornadoes.
Severe storms producing large hail are likely to erupt along a dryline in western Texas.
In addition to the severe thunderstorms, heavy rain could produce flooding across portions of the Plains.
In addition to the severe thunderstorms, heavy rain could produce flooding across portions of the Plains.
Radar estimates that three to six inches of rain have fallen along the Iowa-Missouri border into western Illinois. There have been reports of water covering roadways in this area.
More thunderstorms with heavy rain are expected in this area keeping the flood threat high.
Remember not to drive over roads that are covered with water.

The East will be under the gun on Saturday as the cold front pushes through the region. Thunderstorms will occur from New York and New England to Florida. The best chance for severe thunderstorms will be from Upstate New York to the Middle Atlantic region. Hail, damaging winds and even isolated tornadoes are possible.
